I know that you have to be really careful talking about religion and politics and well...this. But I don't feel like I can go on any longer without saying something. I have stayed quiet long enough and it is just too important a subject to keep my mouth closed. Plus it has been a little while since I was up on my soap box. Wow, it is really nice up here. So, I realize that I might lose friends or alienate people...that is a risk I'm willing to take. I would not be true to myself if I didn't speak up and make my voice heard!
(Deep breath) Here goes....
I listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving. I think I even did it a couple of times in October. No, I know I did...I'm just going to own it. Phew, there I feel so much better.
This is my favorite right now...I could have it on all day from now until Christmas and not get sick of it.

I also LOVE this one...

I don't really have anything against listening to Christmas music before December. I love Christmas music! I do wait until after Halloween though. Since Halloween is my favorite holiday, Matt and I spend the entire month of October listening to The Nightmare Before Christmas soundtrack. Its great. But I don't really mind passing over Thanksgiving. I've never really thought of it as much of a holiday. Its just a big family dinner to me.
LOVE the Christmas music. I am actually relieved to have something other than election dribble and crappy economic news to listen to in the car.
Thanks for the tips on your favorites. I will be visiting i-tunes!
So, while on the subject of early Christmas music playings, I pull a handful of songs out in the middle of the summer sometimes. Trans-Siberian Orchestra and a punk cover of It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year are my favorites. It's never too early for Christmas music!
I ADORE Christmas music....I just don't listen to it early because I get tired of Thanksgiving (focusing on gratitude, not the dinner part) getting a back seat to the holidays that surround it.....otherwise, I'd listen to Christmas music, some albums, all year long and be in joy!
.....in fact, that Celine album and the Sarah album are THE BEST! Song for a winter's night.....I love that one.
