Miquelle called me this afternoon to tell me that she was spending the day in ISS (in school suspension) because she had five tardies. So she sits in a room all day and works on homework or reads. Am I the only one confused by this??? Let's pull them OUT of class all day to punish them for not being IN class on time. I totally agree there needs to be a consequence but this one seriously does not make sense to me.

Wow. I remember being tardy a bunch of times, so the teacher dumped her three hole punch out on my desk and had me clean up all the little circles during class.
I was never tardy again!

Really, more "huh" than the policy, is Miquelle getting suspension for anything. Must be a Gallagher/Lotz combo. ;O)
but making the sanction fit the infraction is tough. Making her stay late punishes you and the teachers. Im not saying I agree with it, but what else is there?
