Thankful Thursday

1. A kid old enough to babysit
I thought the day would never come. Miquelle turns 12 soon and has been baby sitting for us for a bit. Just last week we got the kids to bed and went to a late movie (Indiana Jones...we seem to be in the minority of people who liked it). It is bliss. Even if it is just for a minute so I can run to the store quick for something I need for dinner. She is a life saver, I'm so grateful for her and the way she is growing up.

2. Naptime
Many days I don't think I would make it through the day if I didn't have that two hour break in the middle of the day. It is a time when I can read my scriptures, write in my journal, do laundry or other chores without helpers, make some phone calls in quiet, get a start on dinner, or catch a little snooze myself.

3. Rain
Yes, just last week I had a post complaining about the rain but for some reason I have just loved it the last couple of days. I love the smell of the rain and how green everything gets. Not to mention that no matter how much precipitation we get it seems like we are always told we are in a drought.

4. Yoplait yogurt
Lemon, cherry and apricot mango are my favorites. I especially love dipping wheat pretzels into it.

5. sandals and flip flops
I do not like shoes at all and only wear them when it is absolutely necessary. I love this time of year when I can just slip on some flip flops or sandals quick and I am ready to go. I especially love when I have freshly painted toenails to show off.

Okay girl, I love your blog. I am so glad you sent me the link. By the way, our twins are SO similiar. Tate would flip for those Cars Crocs. And Anna is all girl and then some. And I am so jealous your kids still nap. Mine haven't for at least a year. Oh, what I would give to have that back. :)
